According to the Changing World Movement, it was
a tragic omission on the part of the world that it did not find a way out of
the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict in the first days.
There can be no doubt that
this historical omission is now condemning two brotherly nations to a long war,
and almost the entire world to severe crises and terror.
Meanwhile, everything is happening, but no
one is looking for a way out. On the contrary, the most important actors are
deepening the conflict at the local and global level, provoking and
blackmailing each other, criminally risking a real nuclear world war. And
meanwhile, the enemy camps are intensifying the manipulation of people, the
hatred that poisons everything.
You can expect a miracle, such as a
"regime change" on one or the other side, which could solve the local
conflict, but not the global one, the transition from a unipolar world to a
multipolar one. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to open a new world
congress, similar to the Congress of Vienna in 1814 and the Dumbarton Oaks
conference in 1944, with similar goals: to reform the UN, to ban nuclear
weapons, and in the long run to pave the way for the establishment of a world
government.
This will be a huge and difficult task,
which can certainly only be completed in several rounds. The responsible
thinkers and scientists are responsible for the intellectual preparation of
this historic enterprise. All of this would understandably require and
facilitate the conclusion of the Ukrainian conflict.
